Contact Shipping-Containers.co.nz
For a container price, the quickest route is the quote form, because it collects everything a supplier needs. For anything else, such as a question about an earlier request, the website or supplying containers through the platform, email hello@shipping-containers.co.nz.
Quotes
Request a container quote
Use the quote request form to buy or hire a container. Your request goes to suppliers and transport operators who service your area, and they quote you directly.

Email the team
Write to hello@shipping-containers.co.nz with questions about an earlier request, the website, our guides or the price index. We do not have a phone line, so email is the way to reach us.
Suppliers
Supply containers in NZ
Container suppliers and transport operators who want to receive NZ quote requests can email hello@shipping-containers.co.nz. Details on what to send are further down this page.
What to include in your message
A complete message saves a round of back and forth. If you are asking about a container you want to buy or hire, include:
- the size you have in mind, or what you need to store if you are unsure (our guide to choosing a container size helps)
- new, one-trip or used, and buy or hire
- the delivery suburb or town, and anything unusual about delivery access
- when you need the container on site
If your message is about a request you have already sent, use the same email address and include your name, the delivery suburb and the date you submitted it. If you want to change or withdraw a request, say so clearly in the first line.
Questions about a specific quote, such as the price, the container’s condition or a delivery date, are best sent to the supplier who quoted, because only they can change it. If something has gone wrong with a supplier your request was passed to, tell us what happened.
Who runs Shipping-Containers.co.nz
The website is operated by Containerbasis Pty Ltd (ACN 684 190 145), a company registered in Australia with its office in New Farm, Brisbane. The same team runs Shipping-Containers.com.au, and the founder Andy Atrott has worked with shipping containers since 2013. We are a quote marketplace: we do not own a yard or sell containers from our own stock. Quotes, invoices and delivery come from the New Zealand supplier you choose, and the contract for the container is between you and that supplier. How we handle the details you send us is set out in our privacy policy.

For suppliers
Receive NZ quote requests
If you sell, hire or deliver shipping containers in New Zealand and want to receive quote requests, email us with your business name, the regions and towns you deliver to, the sizes and conditions you usually stock, whether you offer hire or modifications, and the truck types you use, such as HIAB, swinglift or tilt tray. How the platform works is explained on our about us page.
Privacy
Your personal information
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, under the information privacy principles of the Privacy Act 2020. Email us from the address you used for your request. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, who receives it and why, and our terms and conditions set out how the quote service works.
Replies
When to expect an answer
We read every message and reply by email, in the order messages arrive. Some questions need information from a supplier first, which takes longer. Quote requests go to suppliers rather than waiting in our inbox, so for prices the quote form is faster than email. Check your spam folder if you are expecting a reply.
FAQ
Contact questions
No. Shipping-Containers.co.nz works by email and the online quote form, so that every request arrives in writing with the details a supplier needs. Suppliers who quote you will usually include their own phone number, and you can call them directly about their quote, the container or delivery.
We do not have a yard, depot or stock. We are an independent quote marketplace, and the containers belong to the suppliers who quote you. If you want to inspect a used container before buying, ask the supplier where it is held and arrange a viewing with them. Our used container buying checklist lists what to look at.
Contact the supplier first, because your contract is with them. If you bought as a consumer from a business, the Consumer Guarantees Act requires goods to be of acceptable quality and match their description. Put the problem in writing with photos. If the supplier came to you through our platform, let us know as well.
Email hello@shipping-containers.co.nz from the address you used in the form. Say whether you want to change details, such as the size or delivery address, or withdraw the request. If suppliers have already contacted you, it helps to tell them directly too, so they do not hold a container for you.
Need a price rather than an answer?
The quote form collects size, condition, buy or hire, delivery address and timing in one go. Suppliers who service your area quote you directly.
